Gladys went to St Stephen's High School in Mohale's Hoek, has worked for the Jandrell Group since August 1977 and is a Lay Minister at St Stephen's Anglican Church.

Gladys married Geoff on Christmas Day 1977 and they have two daughters. They have fostered eight children and are also very proud grandparents. With Geoff's wholehearted support Gladys has worked tirelessly to help her family, her church, her co-workers and the community of Mohale's Hoek.
Elaine lives in Zastron, South Africa, near the Lesotho border.

Vegetables are sometimes sold at Mants’ase to help raise funds and while living in Mohale’s Hoek during the 1980’s Elaine visited Mants’ase occasionally to buy veggies. Her next visit to Mants’ase was in 2011 (when she joined the Society) and since then she has assisted with a number of secretarial, administrative and internet-related tasks.

Elaine continues to develop our official website and has served on the Board since January 2014.
Bill has served on the Board since 2001.

Born in South Africa, Bill went to Eshowe High School and was working for Barclays Bank when he was transferred to Mohale's Hoek in 1970.

In 1971 Bill resigned from the bank and joined the Mohale's Hoek based Jandrell group of trading companies where he still works today.

Bill served as Secretary of the St Stephen's Diocesan High School Local School Committee for 35 years and was on the Board of Directors of First National Bank Lesotho Limited for 8 years.
Thesele was six when he moved from the Mokhotlong district to Mohale's Hoek to live with his Grandmother, a loving and very busy Staff Nurse and Midwife.

First employed as a clerk in 1988 Thesele worked his way up to his most challenging position, that of Manager of a large retail store in Maseru. In 2008 he joined The Rosehip Company and was soon helping at Mants'ase too. He has served on the Board since April 2013.

A politician, Thesele stood as a candidate for the Alliance of Congress Parties in the 2007 election, and a family man, he is devoted to his wife and three children. He also declares that his wife is the most beautiful wife.

Married to Herman and mother of Heidi and Bjorn, Cathy works at The Rosehip Company in Mohale’s Hoek. She first volunteered her help at Mants’ase in December 1999 and has continued to support the children of Mants’ase in many ways.

Cathy served on the Board from 2011 to January 2014, and has served on the Board again since August 2015.
Mr Geoff McPherson
Mr Mochesane Mosoloane
Mochesane has served on the board since November 2016. Born and raised in Mohale’s Hoek by an Anglican family, he is currently the Country Director for Msizi Africa Lesotho.

Mochesane is married and has a daughter. And he is passionate about farming. After studying at the National University of Lesotho he was based at Mants’ase while working with Trust for Africa (Lesotho) from 2010 to 2012.

Since leaving Mants'ase in 2012 Mochesane joined the Mophato oa Mants'ase Society and has always kept in touch, visiting Mants'ase Children's Home whenever he can.
Geoff has served on the Board since August 2015.

Born and raised in Mohale’s Hoek, he was educated at St Stephen’s Primary and High Schools.

Geoff is married to Gladys and is an active member of the St Stephen’s Anglican congregation. His nickname (literally translated) is ‘Doctor’ as he is always willing to help wherever and whenever he can.

Geoff first visited Mants’ase in December 1999 and since then has often volunteered his help, assisting in many ways.
A husband and father of two, a daughter and a son, Bokang also has valuable insight into challenges faced by orphans and vulnerable children.

In January 2005, when he was 16, Bokang was placed at Mants’ase Children’s Home as he had been living on the streets of Quthing and was therefore vulnerable. While at the orphanage he completed his secondary school education and after leaving Mants’ase in 2008, with help and support from the Jandrells and through Msizi Africa he completed his high school education. He went on to study at the National University of Lesotho and in 2015 graduated with a BA majoring in Sociology and Development studies.

Bokang is a citizen of Lesotho, he loves his country, and he has served on the Board since June 2018.
